Phil has always had a passion for the technical aspects of filmmaking, as well as the art. He started off his professional media life as an off-line editor for broadcast documentaries, moved into sound recording ("co-pilot" and sound recordist on Molly Dineen's BAFTA award winning series The Ark) and has always taken moving images. When not making Giant Screen films as a producer or consultant Phil makes his own films, from soup to nuts, for other people. Creative brief with client, shoot, (including drones and underwater), record sound, edit, deliver. A one stop shop/single shooter approach.
Phil’s extensive experience in film coupled with a meticulous eye for detail, resourcefulness and friendly nature made this project a pleasure from start to finish. Having never worked so closely on a film of this style before, I had lots of ideas but needed guidance and Phil was able to guide, adapt and deliver a very effective film for us which has been well received by our audience around the globe.
